Micro enterprise constitutes as one of the important pillars of Indian economy and provides large employment after agriculture. Sometimes this sector is referred to as Non-Corporate Small Business Sector (NCSBS). The biggest barrier to this informal sector is the lack of financial support as majority of these entrepreneurs does not have access to formal source of finance. Considering to this bottleneck, Government of India has set up MUDRA bank as a prime refinancing institution under Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY) to cater to the needs of NCSBS segment under mainstream of finance. As a major institution engaged in funding the unfunded and collateral free loan under the PMMY schemes increases the chances of defaulters of loan. So, an attempt has been made to study the performance of MUDRA Ltd through operational and financial performance analysis of the bank. The nature of the study is analytical and it is based on secondary data. The collected data and information are analysed by comparing the data for last three financial year and through ratio analysis.
